My 6 yr. old grandson loved this scooter. Easy to control, perfect speed.Until today. We usually go to the tennis courts at the school for the large space and smooth surface to ride on.After riding for about 20 minutes, the scooter wouldn't move because a screw fell out that held one of the front wheels in place. Luckily we found it and the washer was still on it, so I will try to put it back in tomorrow. Hopefully it will not come loose again. He really loves this thing so I hope he will be able to use it again ?He's only used it about 4 or 5 times so far.We thought it wasn’t functional. Very confusing out of the box. Read the instructions and still wasn’t clear on how it worked despite having 1 button and a switch. The key is scooting fast enough to get the wheels to light up and then pressing the button.Testing as an adult it just seemed like it was not functional (I didn’t stand on it because it’s rated way under my weight) It would have been much better if there was some indication light or a beep to confirm it was on and working. It’s very well made and the motor (once figured out) had a nice strong response. The only down side is that the switch. It needs a cover. It often gets brushed against as it’s on the outside of the footboard. It commonly gets flipped and turned off. Otherwise really happy with this one. My daughter loves it!Wonderful electric scooter! I bought it for my 5 year old for her birthday, and it has been the favorite gift by far. It can be used as a normal scooter (which was her preference the first day as she got used to using it), but the electric feature is wonderful, especially when she starts getting tired. The light up wheels were a HUGE hit as well. When you want to use the electric power, the kid has to get going up to a certain speed, there's a beep noise, and then the kid just presses a little green button. The speed always felt very safe to me. You can also turn off the power if you are in an area where you don't want your kid to go fast. The handle bar height is adjustable, and we have it on the lowest setting in these pictures. There's quite a bit of room for her to grow with this scooter. It needs to charge for 3+ hours out of the box (so plan ahead if it's a gift that you'll want to use immediately), but the charge lasts a long time, and I have no complaints about the battery life.We will definitely buy a 2nd one as soon as our next kid is big enough.*UPDATE:I’m updating my review from 1 star to 3 because although we figured out how to finally get this scooter to work, it’s not what we thought we were getting. We were under the impression that all you had to do was push the little button and it would go, but in reality, you have to push the button AND push it a couple of times before the battery kicks in and makes it “motorized”.So I guess it “works”, just not the way we thought it would. My granddaughter does enjoy it though, so we’ve decided to keep it.———————————————————————Bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas. I waited until Christmas Eve to pull it out of the box to set it up and charge it. Plugged it in, and 14 hours later no charge what so ever. I’ve contacted the seller for a refund, hopefully they’ll reply quickly.I’m so disappointed...my granddaughter would have loved this! I’m not even going to show her because she will be so upset. The instructions and kimi scooter video on YouTube were not helpful. We couldn’t make it work. I emailed the Kimi customer service department and they got back to me within a couple of hours. They were excellent. Things you should know when getting started:1. The light on the charger never turns blue like the instructions say. It will only go from red to green. Takes 3 hrs to charge.2. Push the green button in and do not let go. Give it a couple of scoots and it will start going on it’s on. The button has to be held down the whole time.(safety feature since it’s for such young kids)3. The steering is done by leaning into the direction of the turn. This was purchased for my Grand daughter’s birthday! I had charged it and it was ready for her party! We took it out to try it out. Just a short distance and she stopped to turn it around and BOTH front wheels tilted outward!!! We flipped it over to see what was wrong and one screw was almost completely OUT!! The other side was on its way out!! I don’t know if these screws backed out in just the few rounds she made on it or if they just were never tightened down!!! Had that happened while she was in motion, my child would have definitely crashed and could have been hurt very badly!!! I’m trying to figure out how to contact the company! Please check all screws to see if they are tight before you allow your child to use this product!!! This scooter was way to expensive to be delivered like this!I bought this scooter for my kids to help break up the monotony of e-learning. We are all fighting over the scooter...we LOVE it! It’s so easy to ride, and just taking it up and down the street is an invigorating respite. It was easy to set up, and feels sturdy under our feet, even for the bigger kids. I love the fact that it gets us outside, and takes us from A to B (with a helmet on of coarse). Its a perfect gift for kids for Christmas!Shocked at the quality of this thing. My 3 toddlers beat their scooters into the ground, but haven't been able to dent it. We have owned Razor, Micro, and off-brand scooters, but i'll just buy these now.The amount of power/how fast it goes is perfect...not enough speed to hurt themselves, just the right amount of fun. I want one for me!Battery life and charging is simple and lasts a lot longer than I was anticipating.Cons: have to charge it out of the box
