I bought this wheelchair for my 92 year-old husband who has balance and walking issues. Right out of the box, I thought it a beauty, compact in design and good-looking. I loved the copper accents. And there was no assembly, no five pieces of this and that. All you do is take it out of the box and unfold. Wow! But to help my husband use it, I needed to learn how to use it myself.Initially, there was an issue with the remote, which I wasn't certain we needed. Nonetheless, when I messaged ActiWe on a weekend, unbelievably, they got back to me within hours and forwarded a video link showing how to coordinate the remote with the wheelchair. I was impressed! Moreover, I was able to chat with one of their experts. High marks for service. Then we were up and running! The chair is amazingly responsive, a light touch on the joystick is all that's needed. You can hold it that same way you would when writing with a pen or pencil. And it's incredibly intuitive, able to do a 360 degree in place. Which is great is close areas, like a elevator. And then there's that remote with which someone else can control the wheelchair should the rider get into a tight space and need help.We live in Manhattan, so the acid test was taking it on the street, avoiding pedestrians, and negotiating cutaway curbs. The Rubicon never blinked, took everything in stride. And my 92 year-old did very well, enjoying his new-found ability to go down a block or cross a street. From time to time, I yelled: "Watch out! Student driver!" Everyone passing was really good-natured and made way.Today we practiced getting in and out of an elevator. Tomorrow, we hope to hit the streets again. The manual says that within a week, you will feel comfortable, and I do not think that an exaggeration. Next up, we are going to tackle going in and out of a restaurant. Who knows? A cruise may well be in our future.I use my chair a lot for grocery shopping and doctor/hospital appointments. We also like to go listen to bands in our city parks. This gets around great on dry ground and hard surfaces. Steep inclines slow it down. Battery lasts a long time. After a few learning curves, I am truly enjoying my wheelchair. The seller has been so helpful.I went to a church function and I had several inquiries and compliments.A little heavy for me to lift in and out of car but really heavy duty. Very comfortable!Nice and sturdy product and came as described in the picture and was labeled as a Rubicon and not a Actiwe but good chair.I use this mostly in the house. My house is small and it turns easily. The chair is very comfortable with plenty of room. I had a few delivery issues and they provided great customer service. We bought this chair for my husband. He loves it. It’s great we have a narrow hallway and I put it in manual mode to help him into bed room. Easy to use company has been great with questionsI've been using this wheelchair. It is rock solid and considering the price paid it provides best bang for my buck. I also need to reach out to the customer service to get more information about the parts. They were very responsive and explain things clearly.
