So If you are like me you are reading this thinking "wait a second, how can so many people have the same griddle and have a different answer to how it fits???" Perhaps everyone has different Blackstone models (standard, "on-the-go" etc.)? Perhaps they are misreading or misunderstanding that this is designed for the hood model. Well unfortunately I can't answer that but I can tell you about my experience.I have the standard 17" Blackstone griddle (chrome front piece, brushed aluminum color handle) with hood. It has rubber legs (approximately 2" high) and the drip pan that hangs on back. I was impressed this cover/carrier combo came with both and was hopeful this would be the perfect solution for storing and transportation while RVing. It is a good solution but not perfect. Both pieces (yes it includes both) appear very well made and sturdy. I haven't weather tested it but it appears it would protect the griddle well. The zipper on carrying case it heavy duty and handles appear sturdy but I won't be trusting them as this is a heavy griddle. Just carry it like a box. Now for fit....Cover: Works great, perfect in fact! Fits snuggly on griddle WITH rear drip pan in place. Drawstring is a nice feature but likely not needed except in high wind. For the price I paid the cover alone is almost worth it!Cover: Unfortunately will not fully zip (comes close) on my STANDARD 2022ish model Blackstone 17" griddle with hood described above unless you do one of the following:Remove rubber feet from griddle - What a pain! You would have to take off cooking surface to get nuts out and then store feet/nuts somewhere. Included directions tell you to remove these if it doesn't fit. Hmmmm..... seems the manufacturer is aware and doesn't choose to make the bag 1" bigger.Remove the brushed aluminum handle from the griddle hood. For me this is easier than removing legs because I'm at my RV and have a phillips screwdriver handy. I can then put the screws back in the handle and throw it under the griddle in bag. I also thought about reducing the handle protrusion from hood about an inch as this is all it would take to fully zip. Simple cut an inch off each end of the handle where it meets hood. Would still allow use although it could get warmer due to being closer to hood. Unfortunately, you would have to also weld a mounting plate back in the handle ends for screws to thread if you did this and that would be a pain.SO I choose to use the bag as is and simply don't zip it completely. You will have about 6-8" of unzipped bag but everything is still contained and protected. Yes, you will have to remove the rear drip tray before putting it in the bag. I would suggest a gallon ziploc for this and throw it inside hood on the cooking surface. Overall a great value that warrants 5 stars however not perfect! Good Luck!
