I only gave it 4 stars because it's not a pretty stapler, not that staplers need to be attractive. After having an electric stapler for a few years, I have become addicted to them. I am a teacher, so it's not that I do a lot of stapling, but it just speeds things up a bit. Plus, I enjoy the surprised and delighted looks of my middle school students when they use it. After my last one died, I found this one. It seemed to be reasonably priced, and I'm hoping it will be a workhorse that will last many years to come.It was okay when I first got it, but the more I use it, the more it sticks and sometimes doesn't work at all. This machine was a replacement that stopped working after 5 years. This stapler has so far worked excellent. The machine has performed every time I have placed paper in it to staple.DonThis stapler will use any brand of staples. Unlike a famous make where you must use their brand. Works well even with just two sheets. A great buy. This is an excellent auto stapler. I would highly recommend it for your repetitive stapling needs! This is far better than the Office Max standard $30 auto stapler.greatI purchased one of these staplers in the mid 1990's, used it [high demand]for about 4+ years and stored it when I moved a decade ago - Ran into it last year, plugged it in and its been running like a charm since! Granted my paper useage has dropped drastically [PDF city/treehugger mindset, oops, `green friendly' these days] yet it still smoothly staples 20+ sheets when necessary - Lightweight easy `ammo' reload - Apparently, well worth the original `90's cost of $29.95! BTW may not be for the `slow of hand' as this little item's `trigger' is quite quick! Excellent for the rushed `A type' individual [no excuses for staff to lag either!] ;0
