We just got this king-size electric blanket about a week ago and so far we love it! It heats up very nicely (although we have been keeping it on low so far as that is warm enough for us). This blanket also seems a bit longer than others which is helpful. The Sherpa side seems to hold the heat very well and the velvet side is nice and soft. Couple of things I wish they would change is the location of the cords on the controller (they come out of the back half way up which causes the controller to not sit flat) and I wish there was a way to have the controller lights stay on continuously as it is very difficult to change settings in the dark once the controller lights go off.
