works just like the one I replaced. its nice to have one for a number of years and replace it because I moved and forgot to disconnect it from the garage door...oops my bad ...but between the 10 year old product and the new one I just purchase this works wonderful. I have it hooked up to an x10 flashing unit and when the garage door is open I have a light in the living room that flashes as a reminder that the door is open.
