My favorite thing abut this pump is that it allows you to recline while pumping. You can't lie flat, but you don't have to be straight up. A 45 degree angle is sufficient. I do it in bed with a pillow behind my back. The hospital machine made me sit straight up, and even lean over. This one doesn't.All of the parts (but the tubing and of course the electric pump) are dishwasherable. I would suggest getting more than one bottle setup so that you can have a second ready to go without washing the first one. You can feed directly from the bottle/nipple this comes with, or transfer to storage bottles or bags.I got the single pump because I rarely have two hands free anyway, and those bras to hold on two bottles on at once don't look like they'd get enough of a seal. I use this several times a week to pump milk so that I can leave the house occasionally. Baby's appetite has me on a short leash. It is fairly comfortable, and the letdown mode works for me. If it isn't working for you, try letting the baby start on one side, then switching her to the other to feed, and pumping from the first breast. Also check to make sure you have all of the components installed in the bottle setup - if the membrane is not in there it won't work.I am about 2 months postpartum at writing, and I can get about 2 oz in ten minutes with this pump, provided I have a good milk supply at the time. Mornings are usually best. It takes me about a half hour to get enough for one feeding. Earlier in my babies life I was not able to get as much - the output also depends on your supply. The noise level on this is noticeable, but not obnoxious. It is about the volume of normal conversation and sounds like "WHIRRR WHIRRR" I can hold the baby and have it going without it bothering her - but she will startle if she is sleeping and I turn it on right next to her. It does not wake the hubby. After using the Medela Symphony pump during a brief hospital stay, I realized my life would be much easier with an electric pump. Prior to that, as a stay-at-home-mom, I was not sure the cost was worth getting the electric over a manual, considering I did not plan to use it often. My experience with the pump is, however, if you have one that is easy to use, you will use it more often. This has more than paid for itself simply in the extra sleep I get now that it is easy to make up a bottle so my husband can take a turn feeding the baby at night. I use this pump on a daily basis, usually multiple times a day. It takes 15-20 minutes tops to do both sides and it is just as easy to express milk with this pump as it was with the hospital grade one. Having the single pump is not really a drawback in my experience, either, as even when I had a double pump to use I often needed one hand to do something else at the same time, so I rarely used both at once, anyway. The one drawback to this pump as far as I can tell is that it is more inconvenient to clean. Not DIFFICULT to clean at all, but it has more parts and pieces, so to do a thorough job it just takes a little more awareness.I would recommend getting extra Avent bottles at the same time that you purchase this item, as well as storage equipment if you plan to freeze breast milk. It only comes with the one 4 oz bottle, and the pump doesn't fit all other brands of bottle. Not a big deal in my case as I was going to have to buy more bottles, anyway, but I would have bought them sooner had I know it didn't work with the brand I already had.In my experience this pump is comparable to my experience with the Medela Symphony; it is not as powerful, yet yields the same results and is easier on your breasts at the same time. It's definitely worth the extra cost to upgrade from a manual pump, but you don't need to spend obscene amounts of money on hospital grade equipment to get the same experience and quality.**UPDATE**Less than two months after buying this pump, the motor suddenly and completely stopped working. I'd been using it about once a day on average after getting a good amount of breast milk stored in the freezer, so I can't believe it was overused. Amazon fortunately has a very good return policy, but I bought it at a sales price and now to replace it will have to pay full price for it or something else. I'm disappointed as, up until the moment it stopped working I absolutely loved everything about this pump. But now I feel I should probably try something else instead. It's a great breast pump as long as it keeps working.I own both the I attempted to use several pumps for my previous birth (18 months ago) as I was determined to breast feed. I found this one the most comfortable, the most easy to use and the easiest to clean. I unfortunately wasn't producing any milk so sold it but I've bought it again for this pregnancy. Definitely recommend.Thanks.I got the breast pump in the month of January and used it once and it worked perfectly. The next time I tried using it it didn’t work and I assumed I was not able to express. After 2 days and much anguish and pain I realized it was pump that had failed. Also disappointed with the sealer as there no return policy. Have to deal with philips customer care. I would have assumed that a brand like philips wouldn’t have failed after one use. This product is Good for Nothing. Its not more than a piece of plastic. When I tried to return the product its not showing any option. This is totally waste of money. Its not even worth Rs. 100/-This product killed our time and purpose of buying it.
