This unit was pretty self explanatory in terms of set up - take it out of the box, plug it in, and it's ready to go. After a week of use I cleaned out the tray (simple twist on the bottom of the zapper and the tray comes off) and was happy to find several dead bugs. I seem to be a mosquito magnet, so I'm really happy to have something that works to eliminate those that make it into the house.I got this to deal with a small mosquito problem. As the owner of a home with a backyard garden off of the kitchen, flying bugs and mosquitos, in particular, are a constant issue. The setup was simple. Open the box, plug it in and turn it on. We placed it on our kitchen island and walked away.I ran it for one week. In two days, the three mosquitos we had disappeared into the electric blue light. Unfortunately, the light did nothing for the fruit flies and errant fly that was visiting our home this week. One note- This is for inside use. The instructions CLEARLY state that the item is not intended for outside operation. I uploaded the instructions to show the section. For some reason, the item description and title don’t reflect this fact.Would I buy it?I would purchase it if I had an indoor mosquito problem. It does what it says it does.It works great except I don’t like that it had to be plugged in! Pay attention to detail because that was mentioned but I missed it! When it’s plugged it in, it does work great tho!I was not sure if bug zappers work or not, so I was very interested to try this out. When it arrived, first thing I noticed was it is very light in weight. Can fall over on its own pretty easily in a breeze. The slats that are the exterior are pretty narrowly spaced, so that will keep out big moths for sure and all you have is a cord and a button on top. On or off. So, lets go.I started in the house. A fruit fly was buzzing around and I thought, great, good chance to get the little bugger. Plugged it in, pushed the button on top and the blue light tubes came on. After an hour or two, no bug, so we moved out to the screened porch, where bugs often get in. After a couple of hours, no bugs, but there might not have been anything to get. So I know there are bugs outside on the front porch and took it out there and plugged it in and left it for the night. It got a couple of bugs! One really small moth and a mosquito! Hey we're on the right path. My intention was to leave it there and on for a few days.I came out mid-day to check on it, and the blue lights were off. Checked the outlet and that was fine. Played with the switch and got the lights to come on with constant pressure, but would not continue power even with a click and position change of the switch. Test over!Don't know if I got a lemon, but the hang time of this unit was about 18 hours. No bueno!!I could not review this product I was trying to tufted out in the house so I plugged it in and push the button to turn it on and the button broke it won’t turn on it does not work so I cannot review this properly so please don’t go off of what my review is.
