Unlike other electric knives I've had in the past, this one has a great safety feature. You can't just pick it up and pull the trigger. There's a button you press first to turn it on. Then when it's on, you can pull the trigger to run the knife, exactly as you would expect. The knife will turn itself off it if is idle for about 10 seconds. This safety feature greatly reduces the chance of an injury, and it's pretty important to have, since the knife is cordless and you don't go through the process of plugging it in.Beyond that, the knife does a really good job with both bread and meat. The dual oscillating blades are a great design. One blade is moving out while the other one is moving in, creating a double cutting action that cuts quickly and easily. Also the battery lasts a surprisingly long time. I've never had the battery die before I was finished with a task.Comes in a nice case for easy storage, and includes several accessories. Overall, I'm very pleased!
