This spatula is perfect to use on a griddle or grill. The length is good to get under the food you are cooking. It also is sturdy enough to scape the griddle of leftover food particles when finished grillinvPerfect for the griddle!This is definitely a step up from the spatula included in the all-in-one kit I bought with my griddle. It's sturdy and the extra length keeps my hand further from the heat.Ordered two of these to turn large items like Salmon on the grill. Worked perfectly for my needs. However as others stated, after using only twice, hand washing and drying, both my spatulas showed specks of RUST. Don't know what to do to stop that.Flimsy steel, lasted two days in my kitchen. Would not reccommendI bought two of these for a 24x36 griddle and they work like a charm. They are square and flat so no issues scrapping the griddle or using them to clean each other off. The extra reach of them being 17 inches long is great. For me I wish the handles were 7-8 inches instead of 5 but overall I am extremely happy with them. I have used them several times since owning for a few weeks now and I have no problems with rust or anything else. These are also beveled along the edges and not just the front so scraping the grill from left to right is also possible or using as choppers. The stainless steel used is thick and I have used them to carry hot plates in from the grill with no issues.I bought this to "replace" one I had packed away when I moved (it's still MIA) so I looked for a similar spatula to use on my camping grill as well as my Kamado grill. This one is so much better because it has a very generous and stout spatula blade that has a bevel on the edges which does a great job of scraping my griddle and cutting into chicken or potatoes to see if they are "done". Simple plastic (ABS) handle that is comfortable & durable too - with a hole in the handle for hanging on the grill. I was surprised to find a nice sized S hook was included in the box as well. Cleans easily too. If I leave this one at a campsite - I would go straight to my purchase history and order the same thing again.I really this turner for the grill. It's huge and sturdy.
