This is one of Hawkwind's best albums on par with Hall of the Mountain Grill. Starting with track one "LSD" the driving space rockers amaze with power and skill. This is followed by 2 tripy atmospheric tracks before the powerful "Secret Agent" brings the driving power back. The rest of the tracks also please. The most outstanding being track 9 "Rites of the underworld" which is dark, mysterious and tension raising. And track 13 "Going to Hawaii" which is sonically smooth as silk. I would consider it a "Must have" for any Hawkwind fans. Production and engineering is miles above their earlier works. And it lacks the noisy and discordant pieces typical of their early 1970's live style albums. **FOUR STARS**
