Been looking for a proper comal for a long time. We bought one in Mexico City last year but it was stainless steel. It heated unevenly which was annoying (part of the tortilla burned and part undercooked). Needs to be cast iron. This comal is. Seasoned it in the oven after 2 months of us, we can say it's great. Works so well. We already have a smaller one for corn tortillas. This larger one is ideal for flour tortillas, also heating several pupusas. Highly recommended. Ta weno!
