We typically drink espresso at home. For a long road trip, I was on the hunt for an excellent, easily portable option. I read many reviews and articles and ended up trying the aeropress but was gravely disappointed--it's highly impractical and produces one nasty or weak, painstaking cup after another, and only one shot at a time. Also messy and time-consuming, you have to boil the water first with another device. I had tried a hot plate with a stovetop espresso maker last year but it took forever and tasted nasty. I even considered buying a small Nespresso for the road but I taste-tested the coffee at the store and it was really bitter.I think the Coffee Angels intervened and saved me from my search by leading me to this briki! It is already wired for U.S. electricity, which is fantastic, and made enough shots of delicious espresso-level coffee for both my husband and me for a single day [we typically drink 6-8]Here's how we do it. We like a dark roast, so we chose the Lebanese coffee Naijar
