I bought this in 2012 or 2013 when I was in college, and I loved it. I worked as a stage manager which involved taking down and erasing a lot of blocking notes, cues, line notes, etc. in my book, and this thing saved me so much hassle and wrist fatigue. Things to be aware of:1. It's not silent and sounds very much like a vibrator; be prepared for people to make fun of you.2. No one will know what this is looking at it, so you will need to explain it a lot.3. You'll need to figure out what the right level of pressure is every time you want to use it; the type of pencil you were using, the type of eraser you're using, how hard you wrote, and quality of paper all affect how it erases so be prepared to fiddle with it until you find what works. It performed well considering I was not using it for erasing pencil lead on paper. It got here at or before estimated time of arrival.I bought this eraser thinking that it would be better than the 'Derwent Battery Operated Eraser'. I liked the Derwent... But once I dropped it,it died. It's not bad, it erases but doesn't erase thoroughly in my opinion. This is just my guess, but I think once you use it too long the button you press may wear out. The price is not bad for a general electric eraser. And the company had sent an email for a feedback, so their communication was prompt~.this is a great little eraser. Cheap and effective. I only wish it had an on/off button. you have to hold down the on button to keep it running. Shipping was very slow. This unit surprised me! The packaging and price had me expecting a "toylike" item but this was not the case. The fit and finish on the item was very good, and the motor was more powerful than I expected. The batteries go in by twisting a small cap off the top and then splitting the halves. It takes (2) AAA batteries. The halves snapped back together well. I would buy this item again and would recommend it.For the price its a very good deal. Its great for erasing small lines from detailed work and large areas too. The eraser head does fall out sometimes but for the price its a great dealElementary-aged children just flip for this electric eraser! If you are a teacher who uses rewards, this would make a great one for an end-of-the-quarter prize! These really are "the berries"--I like to use it too. Requires 2 AAA batteries which are not included.Elementary-aged children just flip for this electric eraser!
