I like this because it reduces flare up from dripping grease. I haven't used it enough to know how long it might take to fill up the reservoir around the edge, but I have used it enough to comment on the coating. After one use on a typical gas grill, temps around 350 - 400 F, on top of the normal cooking surface, the coating starts to come off on your food. After using a plastic pad to clean the grill, the coating starts to come off of the pan.Because this pan fits a small grill I use for car camping, I decided to simply apply some paint remover and steel wool. The coating comes right off. Oddly enough, the bottom coating seems to be fire proof.Unless you're going to remove the coating in some way, I suggest you avoid this product and give your $15 (what I paid at a local hardware store) to charity.
